House Rules & Helpful Information
We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe, and friendly experience at The Lakehouse. The following House Rules (“Rules”) have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures, and our personal experience. These rules are considered a part of our reservation agreement with you. These Rules are presented here to help promote our guests’ safety and enjoyment and to ensure that each guest is aware of the understandings between The Lakehouse at Georgetown Lake and the guest. Our Rules may change from time to time, so please check on-line or when you occupy your room.
100% Smoke-Free – The use of smoking tobacco, marijuana, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping cartridges containing liquid nicotine, hookahs, incense, cigars, candle burning, and oil diffusers is prohibited in our guest rooms. Any guest found to be burning any of these will be fined $100 and evicted from the premises with no refunds.
No Cooking, Cooking Appliances, Combustibles or Fireworks – Except for the use of the microwave and refrigerator units provided in your room, preparation of food in the guest rooms by any type of cooking appliance is prohibited. We ask that you refrain from microwaving any pungent food as the odor is difficult to remove from fabric. A cleaning fee may be assessed if a pungent food odor is reported by our cleaning staff. Most commercially prepared food intended for the microwave has not previously caused a problem, so we suggest that option. Microwaving your fresh caught trout will be an issue. Detonation of fireworks or other combustibles on The Lakehouse property is also prohibited. A minimum fee of $300 will be charged for cooking in the room or igniting fireworks or other combustibles with immediate eviction with no refunds.

Cancellation and No-Shows – For reservations four days or less in duration, cancellation must be at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date in order to avoid a cancellation fee equivalent to one night’s rental. For reservations longer than four days, a 50% deposit for the rental period is required and cancellation must be 14 days prior to the first day of the stay in order to receive a refund of the deposit. Failure to cancel 14 days prior to an extended stay reservation will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
